Loon Chick Update

We went out this morning to do a loon count as well as check on the chick. Wow - it is growing fast ! It's too big now to ride on the parents back - it's about two inches longer. And it's head feathers are darker than the rest of it's body. It's beak has grown more. We watched as both parents caught small fish to feed it and it followed them around, occasionally stretching it's legs above the water.
