
Each year, the coming of fall marks the end of Secchi testing in the lake. Once the testing stops, the results are sent to the Ministry of the Environment for review. The results are published in the following Spring along with the results from the analysis of the water samples that were collected just after ice-out.
You can do interesting things with the information! I've taken this years Secchi testing results and put the data in graphical form to illustrate how the results trend over the testing season. You can see how the Secchi depth decreases and water temperature increases as we pass through the warmer summer months.
