It's just after 11 PM and it's one of those nights never to be forgotten. Yes - it's the moonlight on the ice, with water in the foreground. The ice is about one hundred feet out from shore and the water won't glaze over tonight as it's just above freezing.
It's so eerie just watching while listening to the distant yipping of coyotes - somewhere down the lake . Solitude..... This is what Loon Lake is all about !
