We tend to think of sunrises as being an explosion of red, yellow, and orange colours in the early morning skies. And that is usually the case - but this morning, about 6:30am was one of those mornings when the rarely seen silvery sky is seen surrounded by blacks and hues of blue while reflecting in the still waters below. It's chilling to see and experience and when combined with a temperature somewhere around 3 degC, it's almost frightening to stand alone outside watching the sky slowly transform into daylight.
