Around Loon Lake

Loon Lake remains frozen with a layer of snow now on the ice. It of course wouldn't be safe enough to walk on, although the coyotes are venturing out about twenty feet from shore. The bush has about ten inches of snow with some drifting. Roofs on buildings are sitting with about six inches of snow with some drifting. Roads on both sides of the lake are well plowed in areas where plowing occurs. The lake froze with the water quite high and the level of water in the river remains high with lots of water flowing through the culvert on the Gregory Lane. The main highways in the area remain well plowed and salted.
