Canadian Lakes Loon Survey - Update

I recently reported that we found an abandonned loon egg in a nest. All does not appear to be lost - we found another loon nest with an egg in it and one very concerned loon guarding the nest. While the egg is visible from a distance, using binoculars, the nest itself is not accessible and we can only note that it is high and dry and not too far from the other nest. We will be taking a GPS reading on the nest in the hope that we can get a better look at it during the late fall or winter seasons. At that time we will be looking at the other nest to see if further repair is practical.
