We are all aware that Loon Lake is a reservoir lake for the Trent Severn Waterway and that we are affected by the yearly variations in water levels. Traditionally, the TSW has been managed by Parks Canada but this week an announcement was made by Peterborough MP, Dean Del Mastro, that the Province of Ontario will now also be involved in the management of the TSW. A memorandum of agreement that outlines the roles to be played by the Federal and Provincial governments in managing the TSW and it's resources has been signed by both governments.
