One would have certainly thought so on seeing two of these the other night! But they were on the ice and their presence didn’t make any sense. It appeared like flashlights were shining up from under the ice! An impossibility!The binoculars didn’t magnify them enough so we got the spotting scope… It revealed that the glowing discs were actually created by the moonlight reflecting of shards of ice raised around the rocks at Gull Islands.
