Happy Mother’s Day !

Here’s a mother that’s soon to be very busy! She spends most of her time on the nest but stands for the occasional leg stretch. She lives in what I’ll call the Loon Lake Heronry…an area that is somewhat remote from the lake. She shares the area with several other herons and one osprey. When not nesting, the herons and the osprey can frequently be seen around our lake.
