The storm hit Loon Lake, leaving just over 30 centimeters (12 inches) covering everything. There were strong winds, producing drifts on roads and around cottages. The temperature hovered around -15°C making it nasty to be outside.
The weather has now cleared with a couple of days of sunny but cold temperatures forecast. As of 6:00 this morning, the temperature is at -24°C.
The roads around Loon Lake are well cleared and cottager's who contract driveway clearings have had the work done.
A big "hat's off" to the local snow plowers as well as to the Municipality for keeping the main highways in excellent condition!
