One Pathway Partially Opened
This is a followup to my previous posting "A Loon Lake Problem".
This picture and the set of photos on Flick'r shows what two men working eight hours manually removing rock can accomplish. The weather was cold, windy, and with some driving snow. And the water was cold, deep and fast flowing.

There's still up to sixteen inches of rock inside the culvert, which is twice the amount the Consultant had specified.
Hopefully the excess rock can soon be removed.
It's important to note that the removal of rocks, in itself, does not mean there won't be high Springtime waters on surrounding lowlands.
There is other work, mentioned in previous postings, that remains to be addressed to eventually help pass more water to the Loon Lake dam. That work hopefully will be completed over time.
