The Weather Office was Right !

The weather office wasn't wrong when they said we'd have strong gale force winds today ! Around 2:00 this afternoon, the gusts were so strong that you could hear trees cracking and falling just about everywhere. It really wasn't safe to be outside walking about !

These two large poplars came down quickly - blocking access to First Point. I'm glad they were poplars because they clean up easily after falling. But a sharp chainsaw is a must !


Along with the storm that passed through the area, we got a total of 40mm of rain (measured on my gauge) - that's equal to 40 liters per square meter that fell - a lot of water !
