Signs of Spring
Believe it or not, Spring is just around the corner. Blackbirds and starlings are arriving; a pair of geese did a flyover the other morning; and there was a lone seagull standing on Gull Islands yesterday. There is now slush on the lake and the depth of snow is actually going down! The roads around the lake are good with the Loon Lake road at it's normal Spring condition and the Gregory Lane with a slushy base about six inches thick. The Burnt River is starting to open up and water is flowing.
