2016 Freshet Continues

This is one of the wildest control curves I've ever seen for the Stump Lake dam! It's representative of the weirdest Spring we've had in years. We had one very near breaching of the Gregory Lane, largely because of a culvert under capacity issue but disaster was avoided by the quick actions of the Parks Canada staff.

Our water levels in the lake continue to rise as water is captured for the Summer season.  This year's "freshet" continues and a 'Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook" by the MNRF remains in effect.

Gull Islands in now underwater with just the bullrush tips above the water!
