Easter weekend couldn't have had better weather ! It was sunny and clear but chilling. This picture, taken Saturday night, reflects the cold and tranquility of a northern night. The lake ice and the sky were steel blue, as the moon crept upward from the eastern hills of the lake. Our family was gathered outside to watch this spectacle. As if it were programmed, a not too distant howl of a wolf was heard only once ! We believe the wolf was up near the south end of "Beaver Valley", by Mud Lake. Perhaps it too was watching the moon rise !
