There is up to two feet of snow still in the bush making walking difficult. Snow is generally off roofs but some north facing roofs have up to one and a half feet of snow with ice on the edge. The lake ice has not started to melt away from shore. There is frozen slush on the lake and you can break through the top layer while trying to walk on it. Roads are starting to clear but there's a lot of snow and ice in untravelled portions. Plowed sections of road are narrow up to two feet of snow at the side and they have anywhere from one to four inches of slippery ice on them. The big hill after the bridge/culvert is ice covered. In locations where ice has melted, mud is starting to appear as frost comes from the ground. There are potholes on the road between the parking area (which is ice covered) and the bridge/culvert.
Spring is here, but good conditions are going to take a while to arrive. While it gets warm in the daytime, night time produces freezing temperatures that create a setback in conditions.
