Having just finished backyard work involving lots of topsoil and grass seed, the placing of reflecters, wooden barriers, and cars to block anyone who might accidentally walk on the pampered area didn't stop the visitor who left behind these tracks last night !
It was a Blackbear - and a big one ! It's tracks measured just over 9 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide !
Didn't see or hear it, but it passed by sometime during the night.
And I'm not surprised - a couple of days ago, I thought I heard the teletale brushing of a fur coat on branches behind me as I worked outside.
