Our Water's Level Dropping

Parks Canada is quickly dropping our water level. The water going past the end of Sunrise Point and through the Loon Lake Culvert is probably the fastest flowing I've seen for this time of year. That of course means that beach areas are growing quickly and any boats can be left high and dry if not taken out of the lake soon. It also means that areas of the Burnt River are getting very shallow with sandbars fast appearing. We are very fortunate on our lake not to have the myriad of problems that many other reservoir lakes in the Trent-Severn system have at this time of year with the annual draw-down!
