April 21 - The Ice is Gone !

It never ceases to amaze me how the ice leaves Loon Lake every year almost to the day! It started to go out a couple of days ago and then we had very high winds yesterday that continued all night with the result being no ice this morning. The easterly wind was so strong that the waves on the West Shore were actually breaking over the banks.
