I find it very handy in that I can display a North arrow for convenience; select the scale format that I want; move and zoom to any area of the County; and print the map. And I can also save it to a bitmap format for future use!
While the GIS [Geographical Information System] is great to use on high-speed, it's still quite tolerable on moderate dial-up!
