As we get further into winter, our ice thickness is now at 8" of blue ice. It has doubled it's thickness in one week and there is no white ice. There is about 6" of powdered snow on top of the ice. There is one small known location of slush off a point in First Bay.
The lake is being used by snowmobiles and there is currently one fish hut at Gull Islands.
As always, it pays to be careful on the ice as it can never be trusted.
