Our Lake Conditions

We have not received any significant amounts of snow. The warmer weather combined with heaving cracks has helped with the formation of more areas of slush on the ice surface. This can make walking and travel by snowmobile very difficult. We had slush a few nights ago when the temperatures dropped well below zero. That slush that was exposed to the air froze solid but that slush buried below an insulating snow blanket remained slush. Our overall lake water level remains quite a bit lower than normal.
