The Weather Outside is Delightful....
Last Evening was our Santa Clause parade in Haliburton. This is one beautiful parade to watch each year with the many floats lit with LED's. There were several marching bands and lots of floats that lasted for over forty-five minutes. The parade followed the lighting of the big Christmas tree in the town square. Hot chocolate and coffee were available for all. And despite the cold winds blowing off Head Lake and the light swirling snow, everyone had a great time. The snow continued overnight and this morning we woke up to 4" - 6" covering everything. Looking out on the lake, there are small pans of ice floating around on the water. This could be a sign of an early freezeup this year - we'll have to wait and see !
