The ice is going - and very fast! The windy days and nights, coupled with the intense sunshine have taken quite a toll on the ice. I suspect it will be totally gone within a couple of days. There have been kayaks, canoes, and fishing boats out all day today – people just exploring around the ice pan as it is slowly eroded away and dissolved.
