We’re in a heat wave and this is the start of a mid-summer’s evening. Taken at 9:00 PM, I stop and think back in time to when I was at Loon Lake as a teenager and later to the Summer of ‘69….

Loon Lake
About Loon Lake ....
Loon Lake is located in South-Central Ontario, about 8 miles east of the town of Haliburton. The center of the lake is located at N 45 00.971 and W 78 22.614 , in GPS terminology. Taking the top of the picture as North, the lake is 1.25 miles in an East-West direction and 1.58 miles in a North-South direction. The deepest measurment recorded in the lake is 114 feet.
