We spotted this doe swimming slowly in the lake early yesterday morning. When we got closer to her, she had tired to such an extent that her whole back was under water and her head just barely above the water. Even though we had a rope on board, the best option was to try to herd her into land. We were fortunate that Second Point was about 40 meters away. So we got behind her and started to push. She quickly made land and ran up onto the point. Notice how her ears are rotated back to listen to us as she fled toward shore !
