A Beautiful Visitor




This never before seen visitor to our feeders is a female Northern Cardinal. She arrived early this morning and has been busy eating all day. Fairly common to Southern Ontario, Cardinals have been reported moving northward , perhaps because of the somewhat warmer winter weather we now have throughout this region.

Next week begins the start of this winter's Project FeederWatch Program run by Bird Studies Canada and anybody contemplating getting involved in a fascinating and educational winter pastime should contact Bird Studies Canada to become involved. Here's the link to their website:
