The Loon Lake area was very fortunate over the past couple of days. We had periodic gusts of wind, about 50 km/hr and intermittent downpours mixed with drizzle. The days have been dull with heavy cloud cover interrupted by the odd attempt at the sun breaking through, if only for a few moments.
There have been no road washouts in the immediate area and no significant tree damage was noted. The lake water level rose only a small amount.
We did not lose Hydro power and there was no interruption of communication services.
It appears that we will be getting a reprieve from the overcast and wet weather this coming weekend !
