The morning started about 5 am, at -10 degC, under the moonlight and followed about one hour later by this rarely seen sunrise. If you look carefully at the water, you'll see that Loon lake is starting to freeze. Each day, a little bit more freezes, in a patchwork pattern. It won't be long before it's completely frozen over !
