Bell Hi-Speed service is now available in the Loon Lake and Wenona Lake areas.
The service is DSL, run from Fibre on the Highway 118 corridor through the existing copper lines serving the perimeter lake areas. Bell advises download speeds at 5Mbps and upload speeds at .8 Mbps. The monthy limit is 265 Gb.
Bell advises a modem and wireless router will be provided to enable wireless service throughout the home or cottage and that telephone service and the Hi-Speed service can occur at the same time on the telephone lines.
The cost is $33.95 per month for the first 8 months and $38.00 per month after 8 months. Taxes as applicable.
There is a special promotion available until December 31, 2012 that waives some of the fees from Bell.
