Around Loon Lake

We haven't had any significant amount of snow; there's about 6 inches on the ground and on roofs. The roads around the lake remain well plowed. The main highways are excellent.

The lake conditions remain not good with considerable slush patches, which show as dark patches above. The top of the slush is frozen, with water underneath. Below the water is ice, of an unknown thickness. There are also blow holes anywhere on the lake, with thin ice surrounding them. Since we haven't had good freezing conditions, I consider the lake ice unsafe right now.
