Cold but Beautiful !
This cold spell is the severest we've had in years at Loon Lake! On a positive note, it's a bright and sunny winter day.
-29°C equals -20.2°F and I can remember (decades ago) when a typical November temperature could easily be -26°F.
Do ignore the +24.6°C temperature in the picture above, since it's caused by the air from the floor heating register!
It's definitely weather to keep the block heater on the car going and to limit your outdoor activities! What's really amazing is that despite these cold temperatures, the slush under the blanket of snow on the lake does not freeze!
