You never know what you'll see when you are out for a walk! These are Milkweed bugs and are about 10 cm in length. They're orange and black and feed on the many varieties of milkweed plants. These are the smaller of the two varieties and will soon be hibernating for the winter in plant debris, old logs, or under buildings.
