Santa's Here !

Santa arrived in Haliburton County on Friday night. The rain and wet snow in Haliburton was so bad that night that it was better to see him in Minden yesterday. The weather was cold and windy with some blue sky and the parade was small and colourful.

At Loon Lake, we have about two centimeters of snow on the ground and our lake water level remains quite high. Smaller lakes and ponds in the area are frozen and there is some ice forming in Stump Lake near the dam. There are small ice pans forming on sheltered bays on the lake.
