Around Loon Lake on Groundhog Day

Our old groundhog had a lot of trouble digging out and decided to wait a few more weeks!

Depending on the drifting, we've got from 24" to 30" of snow in the bush behind the house and 14" of snow out on the lake.

Snow on roofs is easily 18" and can be more on north facing roofs.

This is without a doubt more snow than we've had in a long time. I shudder to think of what will happen this year once it starts to melt.

I'm hearing there's a lot of concern in the Minden area about the possibility of another flood this Spring.
