Loon Lake has been trying to freeze over for the last few nights. This however is just a skimming of ice and it doesn't cover all of the lake. Even if it does skim over completely, it could still disappear until we have some really cold and windless nights...then it will be here to stay.
Other smaller lakes such as Black and Paradise have been completely frozen for over a week; as has been Head Lake in town.
