Happy Flag Day! Fifty years ago today, the Canadian flag was raised for the first time. It was introduced by the then Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson and has proudly flown ever since.
Sitting atop this flag is a Black-Capped Chickadee, a contender in the contest for Canada's National bird.
