There are many signs that Spring continues to arrive at the lake....
Our lake water levels are slightly below average; the trees all have small buds but haven't produced any leaves; the aroma of wild leeks permeates the bush; wildflowers are just starting to appear, including the occasional Trillium; snow is definitely gone; the roads around the lake are now dry; the yearly hatch of midges is underway; blackflies are out but aren't biting; and the occasional warbler can be heard in the treetops.
There's a danger because the bush is very dry and burning restrictions are in place.
