Yesterday and the night before, we had heavy rain. Here, the rain mixed with the higher temperatures was enough to take the snow level from 51 cm (20") to 23 cm (9"). That made the Gregory Lane very wet and when it all froze last night, there was a layer of ice on the road. Luckily it snowed overnite, adding traction to the layer of ice. This condition is one we don't normally experience until the springtime of each year !
