To-day, at 100 yards offshore and in about 15 feet of water, in front of my home, the ice thickness was 11 inches. This thickness is made up of 3 inches of white ice and 8 inches of blue ice. The surface of the lake is hard and smooth and there is no slush.
The ice thickness will vary at other locations on the lake, so it pays to be careful !
