This past weekend's storm dumped about two feet of snow in our area. The drifting was particularly bad, creating snowdrifts that made travel impossible. The picture shows the road into our place with a snowdrift above my waist . While we worked with shovels and our snowblower to try to remove the 'drift and widen the road, it was impossible. It proved out that even the snowplower's trucks couldn't get through - and they in fact got stuck. To-day a miniature bulldozer called a Skid-Steer was brought in and successfully cleared a path sufficient for 4X4 driving.
There are however local signs of Spring - the crows are back from down south and there is actually a melt under the snow !
