Update - A Welcome Sight !

Now that the warmer temperatures are here, things are really starting to move ! The picture shows how far the ice is out from the shore. And the lake is starting to get quite gray. Most snow on any south facing area is gone. The roads (on the West Shore) are still muddy, with some deep ruts or the odd "sinkhole". The bush areas are melting with small rivulets forming in any low area, eventually draining to the lake. Mother Nature has the "ice-out" date traditionally about the third week of April. I think we won't be too far off again this year, unless there's a dramatic change in weather. Loons are slowly coming back to the County, but none seen right around Loon Lake yet.
