The loons have been back for a couple of weeks. We notice that there is one pair staying together in one area on the lake. We have seen another pair occasionally at another location. The first pair has been visited by a single loon - perhaps a competitor for the male ! So far, there has not been any signs of conflicts. We have seen terrible fights in previous years; once with one loon chasing another into a dock ! Our watch will continue and hopefully this year will find some young being born !
