A Hint of What's Coming ?

Loon Lake is starting to form patches of ice on the lake. Perhaps this is how it will freeze over this year! Some years, it freezes all at once with one large pan.

Yesterday was the first time I've ever had to shovel my roof in November. I had about 18" of snow gathering on the north face of the roof. I decided to remove the snow because of a threat of possible rain and the threat of a big storm early next week. I believe it's always better to avoid rain saturated snow or any big buildups...
