I’m very happy to report that this years baby loon is alive and doing quite well – and being very “pesky” for it’s mother. It was spotted this morning in First Bay at 10:00 am. It is about three-quarters of an adult size, with no real distinctive loon markings, and is a mottled greyish looking youngster. It stays quite close to it’s mother and is constantly circling her, bothering her for food and attention.
