A Late Winter Start

Winter has now officially come to Loon Lake. The snowstorm that howled across South Western Ontario in yesterday’s very early hours leaving behind only a trace of snow left behind a slightly different situation here. We got over 12 inches of snow in one dump! The snowdrifts in Minden and Haliburton easily top 12 feet as parking lots were cleared.

The main Gregory Lane is well cleared from the highway to Moccasin Trail and to my backyard – as it is supposed to be - I have only high praise for my contractor! Gregory Lane, as of late yesterday, was not cleared past Moccasin Trail. I suspect that all snow plowers will be back in to complete their work over the next couple of days.

Today will be spent clearing my roof !
