The warm weather has taken quite a toll on the snow…it’s basically all gone except for the odd north-facing patch.
The roads around Loon Lake are in good condition with a few soft spots and the odd rut.
The ice on the lake is not safe for travel of any kind and people should not venture onto the ice. The ice is melting fast and is out about ten feet from shore. But there’s been no winds to start moving the ice pan.
The ground in the bush is very dry and certainly poses a fire risk.
There’s a lot of water flowing through the culvert on the Gregory Lane.
The weatherman is however saying that this weather has only been a break and that we’ll soon return to winter.
I hope not, we’ll see….
