Bird Studies Canada has announced the release of the much anticipated report titled "The Canadian Lakes Loon Survey 1981 - 2012".

This report explains how the results from the monitoring of Common Loons is an indicator of ecosystem health. It also gives an excellent insight into the life of the Common Loon.

The sixteen pages are  crammed with facts and superb colorful pictures of Loons and their families.

The report is free for the asking, but there are limited quantities available.
