Our "Upper" and "Lower" Ontario Problem

If you have read recent local newspaper articles, you will know that our local Member of Parliament has a Private Members Bill C-530 before Parliament. That Bill  addresses how he believes the Trent Severn Waterway should be operated. There has always been animosity between those that live in the towns along the canal and those of us who live in the reservoir lakes area. Careful reading of the Bill indicates that the Bill seems to favor commerce over the quality of water life in the reservoir lakes for all residents, cottagers, and nature inhabitants.

Jump to your right to the sidebar and click on the link to the Coalition of Equitable Water Flow's website that has links to some of our newspapers coverages of the "debate""

And if you have not already done so, I urge you to write to Barry Devolin MP and let him know your thoughts.
