Around Loon Lake - Jan 22

We've had a couple of early morning sundogs this past week and they are spectacular!

Winter is established at the lake and we have the first fish-hut on the West Shore. The ice must be strong enough to support it and the ATV that pulled it out. I don't know how thick the ice is, but I hope to measure it on the weekend. I would still be very cautious if venturing onto the ice.

The highways have been excellent for travel.

The Loon Lake Road is plowed to it's winter turn-around. The Gregory Lane - Trillium Trail route has been temporarily snow blown. Moccasin Trail is plowed to it's end.

There's about 0.3 meter or just under 1 foot if snow on the ground.

When did they change Ross Point Road to Loon Lake Road? Parents had a cottage there for 30 years.
